Migration and Refugee Services of Catholic Social Service provides resettlement services for refugees as defined by Section 101 (a) (42) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). It is an affiliate of the Unites States Conference of Catholic Bishops Migration and Refugee Services (USCCB-MRS). Catholic Social Service/Migration and Refugee Services is a client-centered program that assists refugees to become self-sufficient. The program provides an array of services that include, but are not limited to, housing assistance, transportation, short-term financial aid, English classes, employment services, referral services, cultural and community orientations, interpretation and translation services. The program provides intensive case management and employment services and trainings that include prep-cook class, CNA class, housekeeping class, and on-site employment skills training. Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services and Episcopal Migration Ministries assists newly arriving refugees through resettlement and placement services which include welcoming refugees, housing support, orientation trainings and case management. LSS provides extended case management, adjustment services and employment services through the Match Grant Program and State Refugee Services contracts. LSS is dedicated to assisting refugees in adjusting to life in the United States and to being productive community members.
