Finding Voice is an innovative literacy and visual arts program dedicated to helping refugee and immigrant youth in ESL classes at Catalina Magnet High School in Tucson, Arizona develop their literacy and second language skills by researching, photographing, writing, and speaking out about critical social issues in their lives and communities.
Owl & Panther is an expressive arts project designed to help refugee families relocated to Tucson, AZ who have been affected by trauma and torture. “On the seventh day, only the owl and the panther were still awake. Because they did not succumb to sleep, they were given the power to see in the dark.”
